'Top Model' finale brings in 3.8 million

The current cycle of America's Next Top Model ended its run with 3.75m on Wednesday, overnight data shows.

Airing between 8pm and 10pm on The CW, Krista White's victory also garnered the program's highest 16-34 female demographic since the 13th season premiere in September 2009

Elsewhere, American Idol - which saw the departure of Michael Lynche - tied with last week's figure of 19.1m on Fox. Prior to that, a repeat of the recently-renewed Lie To Me had 5.14m.

Modern Family averaged a strong 10.1m for ABC at 9pm, after which Cougar Town entertained 6.13m, and Happy Town logged a miserable 3.21m in the 10pm hour. Earlier, 5.69m watched a repeat of The Middle, followed by 7.51m for a new episode.

Over on NBC, Mercy delivered a disappointing 4.11m, then Law & Order: Special Victims Unit put in 8.51m, a rise of 250k week-on-week. Minute To Win It interested 6.72m at 8pm.

Criminal Minds and CSI: NY both performed well for CBS, taking 12.88m and 11.36m respectively. In the 8pm hour, New Adventures of Old Christine climbed to 7.19m, and 6.65m tuned in for a repeat of The Big Bang Theory.
