Ex-American Idol contestant Pia Toscano will receive $100,000 (£59,000) for playing a single private gig, sources have claimed.



The 22-year-old, who was sensationally booted from the Fox competition three weeks ago, has reportedly agreed to the six-figure fee in return for performing "a small handful of songs" at a birthday party on May 8.

Insiders have told TMZ that Toscano only accepted the deal once organisers doubled their initial $50,000 (£29,000) offer. She is also believed to have secured a chauffeur-driven limousine to take her to the event's unknown location.

Toscano, who recently quashed rumours of a record deal, returned to TV screens this week with a performance on ABC's Dancing With The Stars.

The New York-native has been linked to an appearance on the show's next season since allegedly beginning a relationship with professional dancer Mark Ballas.
