
Marvel’s latest superhero movie Thor has topped the UK box office for the second consecutive weekend.
Despite a host of new cinema releases, the top three remains unchanged from last week. Both Thor and Fast & Furious 5 experience sharp falls in ticket sales, while horror Insidious maintains strong numbers as it drops just over £100,000 on its second weekend out in UK theatres.
Robert Pattinson’s Water for Elephants is the highest new entry, landing at number four with £1.2 million. Saoirse Ronan and Joe Wright’s assassin thriller Hanna completes the top five.
Elsewhere, Kate Hudson’s latest romantic comedy Something Borrowed bows at number six and Priest charts at eight.
