Anthem takes the top spot for a second week

Last week Anthem debuted at number one in the UK boxed charts even though it managed significantly lower sales than Mass Effect: Andromeda, and despite the lukewarm reception to Bioware’s game it has retained the top spot after fending off competition from the likes of The Lego Movie 2 Videogame.

As reported by, a 71% drop in sales week-on-week wasn’t enough to topple Anthem, which had competition from FIFA 19 a place behind it. The game of The Lego Movie 2 also entered at number four, selling 59% of the copies on PS4, the same percentage that Dirt Rally 2.0 had on the console at number six (although Codemasters’ game was actually number two when it comes to revenue, since it sold at a higher price than others).

Trials Rising: Gold Edition is another new entry into the top 10, in number 10, with 39% coming on PS4, 33% on Xbox One, and 28% on Nintendo Switch. Dead or Alive 6, however, sold less than half of what 5 managed, and enters the charts in number 21.
