Marty McFly and Doc Brown from 'Back To The Future'

Back To The Future has broken into the UK box office top ten on the weekend of its 25th anniversary re-release.

The ’80s time-travel classic, starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, pulls in more than £450,000 from across the country to chart at number seven. Back To The Future has been screening in more than 200 UK cinemas since Friday, ahead of the trilogy’s debut on Blu-ray later this month.

Leading the chart for the third consecutive week is Will Ferrell’s The Other Guys. The cop comedy charts ahead of Ben Affleck’s The Town, which climbs up a spot from last week’s number three.

Rounding out the top five are new release Buried, Eat Pray Love and The Hole.

Elsewhere, Sally Hawkins’s feel-good drama Made In Dagenham is the only other new release to make it into the top ten, landing at number six.
