Drake scores another week at No.1

It’s a good week for Drake in more than one way, because as well as releasing his new album, the rapper’s also scored a third week at the top of the charts with ‘One Dance’.

And he’s notched up a record-breaking 7.86 million streams, which just so happens to be the highest number in a week ever, beating Adele’s ‘Hello’, which landed 7.32m plays when it was first released back in October.

‘One Dance’ is lifted from the rapper’s new album Views, which you can expect to see make a big impression in next week’s chart.

Elsewhere, Sia’s ‘Cheap Thrills’ is at two for the fourth week in a row, followed by Mike Posner’s ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza’ at three, while DNCE’s ‘Cake By The Ocean’ is at four and Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work From Home’ is at five.

Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ hits a new peak at six following the late music legend’s death, with ‘When Doves Cry’ appearing at 26, ‘Kiss’ at 38, ‘Raspberry Beret’ at 47 and ‘Little Red Corvette’ at 70.

Now let’s get to Beyoncé. The singer’s new album Lemonade sees six of the record’s tracks enter the Top 40.

The highest entry, ‘Hold Up’, debuts at 17, followed by ‘Formation’ at 31, ‘Sorry’ at 33, ‘6 Inch’ at 35, ‘Don’t Hurt Yourself’ at 36 and ‘Freedom’ at 40.

Finally, Little Mix’s ‘Hair’ breaks the Top 20 after climbing 12 places to 19.
