Bieber tops singles chart for a fifth week

Justin Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean?’ continues to reign over the UK singles chart.

The track fought off fierce competition to spend a fifth week at the top, and is now the second-longest number one of this year behind Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’.

R City’s ‘Locked Away’ featuring Adam Levine is in second place, while Drake scores his highest-charting single as a lead artist, with ‘Hotline Bling’ rising to three.

‘Runnin’ (Lose It All)’ from Naughty Boy featuring BeyoncĂ© and Arrow Benjamin is at four, and The Weeknd’s ‘The Hills’ reaches a new peak at five.

Jamie Lawson – signed to Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records – leaps from 40 to number six this week with ‘Wasn’t Expecting That’.

Lower down, Olly Murs earns his 12th top 20 hit as ‘Kiss Me’ lands at 14, and The 1975’s ‘Love Me’ enters at 20.

Fetty Wap and Monty’s ‘679’ leaps to number 24, and Selena Gomez’s ‘Good for You’ re-enters the top 40 at 38.
