Melissa McCarthy’s ‘Spy’ tops the UK box-office

Spy has topped the UK box office with takings of £2.6m.

Melissa McCarthy and Jude Law’s action comedy knocks San Andreas from number one and down to the second spot with £1.8m.

This week’s top 5 is completed by Insidious: Chapter 3, Mad Max: Fury Road and Pitch Perfect 2.

Avengers: Age of Ultron drops to six in its seventh week of release with £341,491.

Elsewhere, Bollywood release Dil Dhadakne Do is a new entry at eight with takings of £310,941.
