5 Seconds of Summer top chart with debut single

5 Seconds of Summer have claimed their first number one with their debut UK single ‘She Looks So Perfect’.

The boyband knock Duke Dumont – who scored his second UK number one single with ‘I Got U’ last Sunday – from the top spot.

The Sydney quartet rose to fame with YouTube covers of artists such as Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber, and supported One Direction on their recent world tour. They become the first Australian band to top the UK Official Singles Chart in almost 14 years.

Duke Dumont’s ‘I Got U’ slides just one place to number two, with Faul & Wad Ad’s ‘Changes’ a new entry at number three.

Route 94 and Jess Glynne’s ‘My Love’ drops two places to number four, with John Legend’s ‘All Of Me’ also dropping two places to round out the Top 5.

Martin Garrix has a new entry at number seven with ‘Wizard’ following his previous chart-topping success with ‘Animals’, while Chris Brown and Lil’Wayne enter the charts at number 15 with their collaboration ‘Loyal’.

Shakira’s duet with Rihanna ‘Can’t Remember to Forget You’ re-enters the top 40 this week, up three places to number 39.

Meanwhile, Haim’s ‘If I Could Change Your Mind’ follows suit, jumping 19 places to number 33 on the chart.
