Ellie Goulding tops album chart

Ellie Goulding has scored her second number one album with Halcyon Days.

The follow-up to her debut Lights was first released 65 weeks ago in October 2012 and re-released with new songs in August 2013.

It has so far sold nearly 665,000 copies in the UK.

Goulding keeps Gary Barlow off the top with his album Since I Saw You Last, which remains at number two.

Beyoncé climbs one place to three with her self-titled album, while Robbie Williams is at four with Swings Both Ways.

The top 5 is completed by John Newman’s Tribute, up 11 places from last week.

Meanwhile, Rudimental’s Home and Haim’s Days Are Gone climb 27 places each to seven and 13 respectively and Irish rockers Kodaline jump 25 places to re-enter the Top 40 at 40 with their debut In A Perfect World.

The Lumineers are this week’s highest climbers, up 39 places with their self-titled debut album to re-enter the chart at 29.
