Olly Murs wins second No.1 album to score chart double

Olly Murs has scored his second UK number one album with Right Place Right Time.

The former X Factor runner-up sold 127,000 copies of his third studio LP to follow last year’s In Case You Didn’t Know.

He also follows Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams and One Direction by achieving a UK chart double in 2012, with ‘Troublemaker’ holding on to the singles top spot.

One Direction stay at number two with former chart-topper Take Me Home. Last week’s number one Unapologetic by Rihanna dips two to three.

Michael BublĂ©’s repackaged edition of Christmas is up one to four, while Rod Stewart’s Merry Christmas, Baby also rises one place to five.

Neil Diamond’s Very Best Of collection lands at eight, while Girls Aloud’s greatest hits compilation Ten is new at nine.

Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds: The New Generation, featuring the likes of Gary Barlow and Maverick Sabre, enters at 13.

Alicia Keys’s fifth studio album Girl on Fire is a new entry at 15.

Elsewhere, Il Divo’s Greatest Hits lands at 17, while McFly’s Memory Lane – The Best Of only enters at 21.

Kelly Clarkson’s new compilation Greatest Hits – Chapter One is a new entry at 24. Katherine Jenkins’ festive collection This is Christmas is new at 26.
