The Vaccines claim first album No.1

The Vaccines have earned their first UK number one album with Come of Age.

The band’s second LP outsold its nearest rival by just 11,000 copies, having only been ahead by 5,000 copies midweek.

Two Door Cinema Club enter in second place with Beacon, which is a massive leap compared to their first LP Tourist History, which peaked at 24 in 2010.

Rita Ora drops from last week’s top spot to three with Ora, followed by 2012’s current bestseller Our Version of Events by Emeli Sandé.

Ronan Keating enters in fifth place with his latest album Fires.

Plan B climbs up one place to six with iLL Manors, with Paloma Faith dropping two to seven with Fall to Grace.

Mark Knopfler enters in eight place with his latest LP Privateering. Of Monsters and Men drop six spots to nine with My Head is an Animal.

Scouting for Girls land at ten with their third studio album The Light Between Us, while Matchbox Twenty score their highest-charting album in the UK to date with North, landing at 14.

Milk enter at 31 with Tales from the Thames Delta, followed by Cat Power’s Sun at 33.
