‘Ted’ retains UK box office top spot

Ted has spent its second weekend at the top of the UK box office.

Seth MacFarlane’s comedy, which stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, pulls in more than £3 million to hold off Batman sequel The Dark Knight Rises and secure the top spot.

Dance sequel Step Up 4: Miami Heat is a new entry at number three, taking in £680,052 from its 396 locations.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days lands at number four, while Brave climbs a place to number five based on screenings in Ireland and Scotland.

Elsewhere, British thriller Offender debuts at number ten with £74,154 from its 68 locations.
