Plan B scores No.1 album with ‘iLL Manors’ soundtrack

Plan B has won his second UK number one album with iLL Manors.

The soundtrack to his crime movie of the same name is the follow-up to 2010’s The Defamation of Strickland Banks.

The Gaslight Anthem enter in second position with their latest LP Handwritten, while Maroon 5 fall one place to three with Overexposed.

Jennifer Lopez lands at four with her ‘Greatest Hits’ compilation Dance Again, with Rihanna climbing up to five with Talk That Talk.

Joss Stone’s The Soul Sessions Vol 2 enters at six, Ed Sheeran drops to to seven with + and Olympics opening ceremony performer Emeli Sandé climbs two to eight with Our Version of Events.

Adele is still in the Top 10 with 21 at nine, while last week’s number one from Elton John and Pnau drops nine spots to ten.

Hans Zimmer’s score for The Dark Knight Rises climbs 17 places to 19, while Nas plummets 30 places to 38 with Life is Good.

Slipknot’s ‘Best Of’ compilation Antennas to Hell is a new entry at 22, while Chariots of Fire composer Vangelis lands at 37 with The Collection.

Meanwhile, Now That’s What I Call Music! 82 has become the fastest selling album so far in 2012, shifting over 267,000 copies in its first week on sale.
