Linkin Park beat Maroon 5 to score third UK No.1 album

Linkin Park have scored their third UK number one album with Living Things.

The rock band beat Maroon 5’s new album Overexposed to the number one spot by just over 3,000 copies.

Ed Sheeran climbs back up four places to three with long-runner +, while Justin Bieber drops from last week’s number one to four with Believe.

Emeli Sandé falls one place to five with Our Version of Events

Cheryl Cole drops four spots to six with A Million Lights, while Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch the Throne climbs up 13 spots to seven following their BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend performance.

Flo Rida enters at eight with his new album Wild Ones.

Rihanna climbs back up four places to nine with Talk That Talk, while Paloma Faith’s Fall to Grace drops seven to complete the top ten.

Ben Howard climbs nine places to 13 with Every Kingdom, with The Stone Roses also climbing 17 to 21 with their Very Best Of collection after their recent comeback gigs.

The Wildhearts frontman Ginger gets a new entry at 27 with 100 Percent, with Belgian drum ‘n bass artist Netsky scoring a debut chart placing at 29 with 2.

The Levellers also enter at 36 with their latest album Static on the Airwaves.
