A Coventry University law graduate named Miss Coventry needs your help to take the national title for the city.

Celtic Murray - named after the football team - has a place to compete in the Miss Great Britain finals in February 2020.

But the 21-year-old, who is on her way to qualifying as a trainee solicitor, needs the city's backing.

The Cov kid is now appealing to those living and working in the city to help with her sponsorship - with just two weeks left to go to secure her place.

Celtic told CoventryLive: "In order to retain this title and to confirm my place in the final I need to find sponsorship of £540 and have a tight deadline of October 15.

"Therefore I am reaching out to see if there are any businesses which would be interested in doing this. There will be promotional opportunities for any business whom wishes to sponsor me."

Celtic applied for the pageant - which has evolved to cover more than just looks in recent times with requirements about ambitions, talents and achievements - to do something "out of her comfort zone" after having a photo shoot and loving the results.

She said it was a big "surprise" when she was awarded the title of Miss Coventry .

"I will be quite disappointed if I am unable to compete and retain to the title but all I can do is try and secure sponsorship," she added.

While this is her number one goal at the moment, Celtic has big ambitions for the future.

She said: "I have completed my law degree in my home city of Coventry and I will be graduating in November which I am very excited about. I am currently studying my legal practice course at BPP University in Birmingham.

"This is the final formal qualification required before you can become a trainee solicitor. My career goal is to become a solicitor over the next few years.

"Currently my favourite area of law is property law and so I am considering specialising in this. However there are other areas of law in which I also enjoy!"

If you can offer Celtic sponsorship you can contact her on: celticmurray@hotmail.co.uk
