Do you know where this is? Trinity Street? In the '50s cars parked in the middle of the street there as this picture shows but I don't think there is enough slope to be Trinity St.

I thought it was Corporation St. Jock with car park above shops and looks like Coutaulds chimney top left..

I saw this posted on a couple of F/B sites earlier, I think their consensus was the same.

Thanks Mellisandra, that was my thoughts as well but I cannot remember cars parking in the middle of the road in Corporation St. The photograph was taken in 1959 but as I wasn't in the UK then I am not sure about that.

Your welcome Jock I was 4 in 1959 so I would nt recall that much in the town only a few things I recall from that age.

Thanks for replies. Rebbonk must have seen the photograph same place that I did. Caption said Trinity St but I thought no way. Melisandre, you are just a slip of a girl, I was in the Marines when you were born.

Yes and getting shot twice, once in the rrrrrs. Didn't really bother me others having a pop at me after all I was trained to have a pop at them. I never liked those parades when a dead soldier was brought home in a pine box. They joined the army to be taught to kill so they should accept that their targets would shoot back.
