You don't want to be to high in an IQ test as it does nt make you a good leader it has been found.

Spoiler:
Mary.
- I have an IQ in the top 2% of the UK population and am a logical thinker.

And yes Melisandre, it means absolutely nothing in many cases. IQ is in no way to be taken as a measure of how someone might perform in a job.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

So do I try to be a logical thinker Rebbonk and try to be open minded as that is life.

So very true I once wrote a poem on perfection because of the way schools run.
Hark hark please listen to the falling of the snow.
God made these little snow flakes to let us humans know
Each little tiny crystal that falls upon this earth.
Each has its individual shape and each one has its worth.
God made some imperfection mishapes as we would say.
They to fall from the sky and finally find their way.
Then when the big and perfect one's fall upon the ground.
They mingle altogether and a a carpet can be found.
You see with out the mishapes perfection would not be born.
You have to have some mishapes so to get her they can form.

In other words if we were all had high intelligence who would clean the toilets or sweep the roads so respect those that do these jobs as they are not taking your job.

Very good Melisandre.

IQ is very over-rated, as are plenty more 'desirable' qualities that enter and leave the recruitment world.

I once recruited a guy with a PhD to work on the production line. HR were aghast! But he was one of the happiest and most productive workers we ever had.

I recruited a young girl apprentice, only to be told by the training department that she lacked the academic ability to complete the course. They had interviewed her last year and decided that she wasn't suitable, and I should really have checked with them first! I simply pointed out to the training manager that yes, he turned her down last year and she attended (at her own cost) the school where we sent our apprentices to. She came out top, by a very long margin! Cue one very red faced training manager!

Bottom line is that we need a balance and the right mix of people in society. We can't all be MDs of big companies, and to be fair, most of us wouldn't want to be anyway.

As long as people are all treated with respect and not looked down on, things are OK by me.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

Thank you Rebbonk

What wonderful out come for both stories Rebbonk people should nt judge a book by its cover but they do sadly you can never tell what's inside a person until they have tried to accomplish the course for the job in hand. I ve always found people that are not clever academically are good with their hands inventing or building some thing out of nothing etc.

Trouble is a lot of work places do look down on their staff especially that do the dirty work. I recall a wife of a Coventry Rugby player who lived near me at the time taking the cleaning job at the rugby ground in Coundon because they could nt find a cleaner so she volunteered until one was found all the rugby wives sent her to Coventry would nt talk to her at all she left vowing never to go there again including going to the rugby matches.

Another absolutely true story Melisandre...

When I was an apprentice (a terribly snobby aircraft company with 4 canteens: Executive, monthly staff, weekly staff and works) I became very friendly with our labourer. I was taken to one side by the Superintendent no less, and advised that I shouldn't have anything to do with this man as he was far below what was going to be my station in life. I was truly shocked. The superintendent was even more shocked though, when I told him that I'd learned so much from the labourer. The chap had walked me round the airfield and shown me so much about nature that as a "townie" I had no idea about.

As you say, don't judge a book by its cover!
