Four men arrested after 'fatal hit-and-run' in Coventry
In a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon, West Midlands Police said: "Four men have been arrested after a man died following a hit-and-run in Foleshill just before 2.30am on Tuesday, June 5.
"Officers were called to Station Street West to reports of a collision between a silver Volkswagen Passat and a grey BMW.
"Sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The man, believed to be in his 30s, is yet to be identified and officers are working with the Romanian Embassy to help us trace his family.
"Three men, aged 37, 35 and 25, were arrested yesterday from an address in Coventry on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and assisting an offender.
"They have been released pending further enquiries.
"A 31-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the incident remains in hospital."
Sergeant Alan Hands from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, added: “We are still trying to establish what happened and would urge anyone who hasn’t yet spoken to an officer, to call us on 101.”
