Drugs crook jailed after police find supplies stashed behind bath panelA bungling drugs crook was found to be stashing cocaine and heroin behind a BATH PANEL in his flat.
Alex Burbury, 24, was busted when cops found the class A drugs hidden in the bathroom of a flat he owned in Upper Ride, Willenhall.
They also recovered an imitation gun.
Burbury was locked up for five years at Coventry Crown Court, where a judge heard how a community tip off helped officers to snare the convicted criminal.
The court heard that Burbury’s fingerprint were found on the drugs.
He was arrested when police raided in a property in Yarningale Road, Willenhall, where officers found him with £1,150 in cash.
Police examined mobile phones to find evidence linking Burbury to drug deals.
Burbury was convicted of two offences each of possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply and also having cannabis.
His tenant Trena Hutchinson was also in the Upper Ride flat and she was hiding heroin and crack cocaine in her clothes.
She was convicted of possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply and will be sentenced in September.
Burbury, whose address was given in court as Birmingham Road, Ansley Village, Warks, had previously been handed an order banning him from a Coventry neighbourhood for anti-social behaviour.
He was jailed for 49 days for failing to comply with one of the conditions of his anti-social behaviour injunction, namely from entering Willenhall.
