Micro Machines takes second

Last week saw Crash Bandicoot return to the world of video games, and he managed to capture the number one spot in the UK retail charts while he was at it. As you may know the release saw remastered and somewhat remade versions of the first three games in the series compiled and none of those titles actually made it to number one in the UK. Micro Machines: World Series also got a good start and entered as number two. Completing the old school revival feel of the chart was Elite: Dangerous in seventh, which saw release on PS4. The original Elite actually headed the first ever British software chart (Gallup's 'Chartalk' newsletter) back in 1985.

Elsewhere, Grand Theft Auto V continues to be a force to reckon with and it's likely only a matter of time until it scores another number one.
