'Rip Off Britain' tops viewing on a slow Tuesday night

There wasn't much going on last night in the TV world, meaning that BBC One's Rip Off Britain was the most-watched show outside soaps.

Overnight data reveals that Gloria Hunniford's series was seen by an average audience of 3.52 million (20.6%) at 7pm. A repeat of Death in Paradise brought in 3.26m (16.6%) at 9pm.

On BBC Two, The House that 100k Built gathered 1.56m (8.2%) at 8pm, followed by documentary series Great Ormond Street with 1.72m (8.8%) at 9pm and reality competition Hair with 785,000 (4.7%) at 10pm.

ITV's Great Welsh Adventure appealed to 1.88m (10.4%) at 7.30pm, while Love Your Garden attracted 2.57m (13.6%) at 8pm (166k/0.8% on +1). Virgin Atlantic: Up in the Air concluded with 2.56m (13.0%) at 9pm (170k/1.1%).

On Channel 4, Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners ended with 1.03m (5.4%) at 8pm (179k/0.9%), followed by Child Genius with 1.12m (5.7%) at 9pm (188k/1.3%).

Channel 5's Dog Rescuers interested 1.01m (5.4%) at 8pm, while people still love seeing people on benefits, as Benefits by the Sea fascinated 1.35m (6.9%) at 9pm (116k/0.8%).

On E4, Tattoo Fixers kept on covering up bad ink jobs with 404k (2.7%) at 10pm (161k/2.0%).
