Ratings: MasterChef holds steady with 4.5m on Wednesday

MasterChef held steady in the ratings on Wednesday, according to overnight data.

The BBC One cooking series stayed at 4.5m (21.9%) at 8pm, followed by Monkey Planet with 3.1m (14.3%) at 9pm.

On ITV, Big Star's Little Star entertained 3.9m (18.6%) at 8pm (231,000/1.1% on +1), while Law & Order: UK attracted 4.1m (18.6%) at 9pm (262k/1.7%).

BBC Two's Under Offer: Estate Agents on the Job appealed to 1.6m (8.0%) at 8pm, followed by Ian Hislop's Olden Days with 1.3m (5.8%) at 9pm.

On Channel 4, Secret Eaters interested 975k (4.7%) at 8pm (276k/1.3%). How To Get a Council House brought in 1.7m (8.1%) at 9pm (393k/2.5%). The Hunt for the Boston Bombers was seen by 717k (5.0%) at 10pm (129k/1.7%).

Channel 5's Killing Spree gathered 757k (3.7%) at 8pm, followed by NCIS with 915k (4.2%) at 9pm (183k/1.1%) and Castle with 603k (3.7%) at 10pm (138k/1.6%).

On E4, new series Party House got off to a poor start, with just 87k (0.5%) tuning in at 10pm.
