Wednesday ratings: 'Apprentice' rises to new peak

The Apprentice jumped to a new peak for its current series on Wednesday evening (June 12), overnight data reveals.

Lord Alan Sugar's latest firing was seen by an average of 6.44 million viewers (27.8%) at 9pm on BBC One, rising by over 400,00 from last week.

Earlier, Watchdog interested 4.26m (20.4%) at 8pm, while A Question of Sport quizzed 1.96m (15.1%) at 10.35pm.

On BBC Two, Springwatch was seen by 1.99m (9.8%) at 7.15pm. The third and final Iraq War documentary educated 743k (3.2%) at 9pm.

The Apprentice: You're Fired! also rose to a new peak of 2.38 (12.5%) at 10pm.

ITV's All-Star Mr & Mrs entertained 4.17m (20.0%) at 8pm (133k/0.6% on +1). Love and Marriage dropped around 800k viewers from last week's opener to 3.68m (15.8%) at 9pm (207k/1.3%).

On Channel 4, Location, Location, Location was seen by 1.36m (6.5%) at 8pm (135k/0.6%). 24 Hours in A&E attracted 1.95m (8.4%) at 9pm (488k/2.9%).

Dates dipped again for its third episode to 866k (4.6%) at 10pm (221k/2.2%). A later than usual 10 O'Clock Live also fell to 634k (5.2%) at 10.30pm.

Channel 5's Emergency Bikers brought in 803k (3.9%) at 8pm. NCIS thrilled 1.38m (5.9%) at 9.15pm.

BBC Three's broadcast of Nicolas Cage movie Con Air was the most watched on the multichannels with 904k (4.4%) at 9pm.

On ITV2, The Only Way is Essex continued with 707k (4.0%) at 10pm (123k/1.4%).
