'Broadchurch' climbs to over seven million viewers on Monday

David Tennant's ITV crime drama Broadchurch climbed to its biggest audience so far last night (March 18), overnight figures have revealed.

The show's third episode pulled in 7.3 million viewers (30.9%) in the 9pm slot, adding an extra 241,000 (1.1%) on +1.

Earlier in the evening James Nesbitt's Ireland had 4.04m (16.1%) from 8pm on ITV.

On BBC One, the latest Question of Sport had 3.02m (11.9%) tuning in at 8.30pm, while Motorway Cops at 9pm only picked up 3.08m (12.9%).

Paul Hollywood's solo show Bread debuted with 2.67m (10.5%) at 8.30pm on BBC Two, while The Challenger followed with 1.53m (6.9%) at 9pm.

Embarrassing Bodies attracted 1.77m (7.4%) at 9pm on Channel 4 and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares USA cooked up a crowd of 0.98m (6.1%) at 10pm.

Robson's Extreme Fishing Challenge hauled in 1.01m (4.2%) at 9pm on Channel 5.

BBC Three brought back Snog Marry Avoid? to an audience of 425k (2.27%) at 10pm and E4's US import Revenge had a respectable 384k (1.6%) watching at 9pm.
