TEAM NEWS

Ipswich keeper Brian Murphy is still out with the ankle injury he suffered after his recent move to the club.

Stiker Jon Stead is available again after serving a suspension.

Coventry are hoping striker Leon Best (thigh) and midfielder Sammy Clingan (mild concussion) are passed fit to play at Portman Road.

New signings Carl Baker and Gary Deegan return and are both pushing to start, having been ineligible to play against Portsmouth in the FA Cup in midweek.

MATCH PREVIEW

Coventry's win at home to Ipswich earlier this season means they have a chance of completing a first league double over the Suffolk club since the 1993/94 season, when both were in the top flight.

But Portman Road has not been a happy hunting ground for the Sky Blues. They have lost on their last three visits there and have not won an away match against Ipswich since that victory 16 years ago.

Coventry have been going well, winning four of their last five Championship matches. Only high-flying Nottingham Forest have taken more points from the last six games.

Ipswich are steadily recovering from a terrible start to the season and have not lost at home since being thumped 4-0 by Newcastle in September. They remain the division's draw specialists, with 13 of their 24 league games this season finishing all-square.

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

• There has been at least three goals scored in each of the last seven league matches between these sides.

• There has not been a goalless draw between them since March 1993.

Ipswich

• Ipswich have won two and drawn one of their last three matches, and have lost one of the last 14.

• Roy Keane's side have taken the lead in all of their last five games.

• Although just two places above the relegation zone, Ipswich have had more shots on target than any other team in the division (190).

• Ipswich's home league matches have yielded just 24 goals this season (12 for, 12 against). Only Swansea's home supporters have seen fewer goals (18).

Coventry

• Coventry's 29 league goals this season have been scored by just six different players. It is the shortest goalscorers list in the Championship.

• They are the only team not to have conceded a goal in the last five minutes of a Championship game this season.

Ipswich 3 - 2 Coventry
Pablo Counago fired a dramatic 97th-minute winner for Ipswich just 80 seconds after Richard Wood had equalised for Coventry.

Clinton Morrison's well-taken strike handed Coventry an early lead but Ipswich equalised just before the break after loanee Stern John headed home.

Fellow loanee Jack Colback gave Ipswich the lead from the edge of the area.

But late on Wood looked to have nicked a point with his stoppage-time header before Counago struck from 12-yards.

Bad luck lads :(

Coventry manager Chris Coleman:

"Let's get it right. There shouldn't have been enough time for us to get the equaliser.

"The referee's assistant put four minutes up. We scored in the sixth added minute, so where have the extra two come from?

"We then ended up playing over seven minutes. There's no consistency.

"Just because he's made a mistake in letting us get an equaliser he didn't need to make another one to even it up.

"Two wrongs don't make a right."
