Members of the Rainbow Sunshine Group are aiming to brighten up everyone’s day with a free afternoon show.

The Golden Key is a musical adventure which sees Agent Zumo on a mission to find out exactly what the key unlocks.

Along the way are deadly spiders, the rainforest and the energy and the beats of carnival. Project Co-ordinator Rowen Wilde explains the enthusiastic company is a performance-based group established to give local adults with learning and physical disabilities the opportunity to create, participate and perform together.

She says: “We are based in Bedworth but with members from Coventry, Bedworth and Nuneaton.

“Supported by volunteers and carers, we participate in weekly drama, movement and music sessions at Bedworth Arts Centre with the emphasis on fun and learning new skills.

“Productions are devised, directed and produced by the group with assistance from professional musicians, dancers and artists.”

The group is run by volunteers and funded solely by grants and membership fees and The Golden Key is their latest production. The mix of drama, movement and music and is being staged at Bedworth Civic Hall on Thursday. Free tickets for the 2.30pm performance are available from 024 7637 6707.
