Interesting fact about The Lone Ranger. He was played by an imposter - John Hart - between 1952 and 1953 due to a contract dispute between the producer and Clayton Moore. Despite the mask viewers were not fooled, ratings fell off a cliff and the series was sold to a different producer who immediately rehired Clayton Moore.
