Coventry City have announced their season ticket prices for next season, describing the new pricing structure as a "radical shake-up".

The football club insists it means most fans will pay the same or less to watch matches at the Ricoh Arena in 2011-12.

The number of pricing zones has been reduced, while the age limit for concessions has risen from 18 to 21.

Supporters paying before 30 April will not be subject to any increases should the Sky Blues reach the Premier League.

Compared to this season's early bird prices, the cheapest adult ticket has gone up to £286 but is now available in 22 of the 25 blocks set aside for home fans.

The most expensive is down, now priced at £357.

Coventry's Head of Marketing and Event Sales, Stephen Ebanks, believes the new structure has simplified pricing for supporters.

He told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "We've analysed all of the issues that come in over time and we've also analysed what happens on a match day and what happens when we sell season tickets.

"I think with the multiple levels of pricing pre-season, it was starting to get a little confusing based on how many zones there were.

"This just makes it easier for people."

Peter Ward from the Supporters' Consultative Group gave the prices his backing.

He said: "I think it's very positive and very progressive.

"There's a nucleus of support that will go to the Ricoh and follow the Sky Blues come hail or shine.

"The big problem is that nucleus has been slowly shrinking."

A full list of prices can be found on the club's official website.
