A 24-hour emergency nurse-led service is to be introduced at a Warwickshire hospital.
Bosses at the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby, said it currently provided 24-hour care which got little use between 2200 GMT and 0800 GMT.
People were asked if they want a 24-hour emergency nurse-led service or a nurse-led service with doctor back-up between 0800 GMT and 2200 GMT.
A spokesman said the public narrowly favoured the nurse-led option.
Paul Jennings, chief executive of NHS Warwickshire, said the trust would work closely with University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire to see how the preferred option can be developed.
