Latest Public Health England Coronavirus dashboard data shows the city's 'R' rate is 173.07 per 100,000 people.
This is above the national average of 136.4 cases per 100,000.
The latest stastics are from October 10 to October 16, so with cases continuing to rise in the city it could now be even higher.
Yesterday (October 19), the city's positive cases rose again with another 96 added to statistics..
This brings the total number of cases in the last seven days to more than 700 - a 41.7 per cent rise on the previous seven day period (October 6 to October 12).
The average icoronavirus nfection rate for Warwickshire currently stands at 102.26 per 100,000 people, which is below the national average.
But one area of Warwickshire, Warwick, is almost at the national average, with an infection rate of 130.78 in between October 10 and 16.
Others are creeping towards the 100 mark too.
Rugby's recorded rate for the same time period is 97.31.
While in Stratford it is 94.54 per 100,000 population.
North Warwickshire's stands at 93.47 per 100,000 people.
Nuneaton and Bedworth's infection rate is recorded as 87 per 100,000 population.
Cases across the county are also rising, so much so that Dr Shade Agboola, Warwickshire County Council Director of Public Health, is strongly advising that residents do not mix indoors with anyone they do not live with, except for close friends or family who are part of their support bubble.
She has said that unless people start sticking to the rules, the county could end up in the 'tier 2' alert level, with tough lockdown restrictions.
