The Royal Pump Rooms opened in the early 19th Century
A multi-million pound project to repair the roof of Leamington Spa's Royal Pump Rooms is due to begin.
The work on the Grade II listed-building is due to take 40 weeks to complete, Warwick District Council said.
The building, which houses a museum, library, cafe and visitor information centre, was "an integral part of Leamington Spa's history", the local authority added.
It also said the "critical repairs" due to be carried out would "preserve this iconic building for generations to come". The building will remain open for business despite being clad in scaffolding.
The council has promised regular updates on the work.
