Does anyone know what the building with the white double roof is on the right of the photo, must be Holyhead Road. The factory behind is Leigh Mills in Hill Street I think. :?:

Hi "solidrock" and :welwave: to the forum.

The building you mention is the Rootes Group car dealership and is indeed near the bottom of Holyhead Road.

Thanks for that info. These aerial shots of the city on the Britain From Above website are fabulous, there are some from pre-war, then 1946 and 1949 showing the massive changes in the central area. Also lots of shots of various factories and even the new sewage works. Highly recommended.

Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
