A man named Naul was the one time leaseholder of the more correctly named "Hill Mill". I suspect it may have been the Thomas Naul who died in 1703 and left a small sum of money to be used to buy bread for the poor of Stivichall for many years afterwards and is thus remembered as a public benefactor.
