Coventry's Blitz Museum is to reopen later for the first time since the pandemic forced it to close.

To celebrate the occasion the museum, located in the ruins of Coventry Cathedral, is urging visitors to come to the launch in 40s style dress.

A special cream tea event will also take place so volunteers can thank them for their loyalty, organisers said.

After being closed for two years, the museum opens at 10:00 BST and then on weekdays.

I think at one time it was housed in the Transport Museum and another time at the Herbert?

The only Blitz display I've ever seen is the 'Blitz Experience' in the motor museum. - That's worth seeing.

The photo above could be very interesting, the house the date etc, to me the cabinet looks very modern, hardly used, as no sign of wear and tear, the small screws and holes on the bottom catches were prone to come loose within six months, and the cabinet itself was much too wide for any house pantry or kitchen in my street, neither did I ever see a cabinet in a washroom, I would love to know more of its origin and the house it came from.

Dutchman could the articles in this photo be from Hall Green Manor Farm 1950? I really think so, I drank tea several times in their kitchen in 1941/2 when it belonged to the Taylors.

I'm afraid I've no idea Kaga but the dresser looks like it has just come from World of Oak's showroom. Also we had a kitchen cabinet like the one on the extreme right of the picture but that was new in the 1960s.

The picture will have been supplied to the BBC website by the museum.

Apparently, yes. (We always spoke English at home).

Would that be the farm opposite Broad Park Rd, where it meets Henley Rd?
