Tile hill farm and pig wood

Postby Hawthorn643 » Wed Apr 11, 2018 1:50 pm

I live in what was Tile Hill Farm in Hawthorn Lane. I have done some research into the farm which was purchased by Lord Leigh in 1685. Around that time the farm was granted the rights of pannage and coppicing in the wood which I assume is where the name pig wood comes from. I have searched for photos Of the farm before the 1950,s when the estate was built on the land that belonged to the farm. If anyone has any information I would love to know.
