Hi,
I do not know if it is any help but on the bottom right hand side of the photo above the word Coventry there is another name,unfortunately I cannot make it out.

I believe that is 'Winterbourne', the name of the photographer.

this might help or quite possibly not, if you look though the top floor windows (the 2nd and 3rd in from the left ) it looks like you can see a sky light in the roof, im not an expert but that would say to me the building was previously used for industrial/manufacturing some thing that required lots of light. dont know if this will help but thats all i got sorry

Mystery solved.
The pub has been positively identified by your's truly from this photograph at Railways of Warwickshire as the "Olde Hall" in Lythall's Lane:
