Dickinson's Real Deal and Stevengraphs from Coventry

Dickinson's Real Deal was from Coventry this afternoon. There was a guy from the Herbert museum on, with some Stephengraphs to sell. Very interesting discussion! I didn't realise that they originated in the 1860s in response to the unemployment that hit the silk weaving trade.

Incodentally, the Stevengraph Works was still standing in Cox Street when I lived nearby in the 1960s although used for another purpose I think? Clear pictures of the works are hard to find.
