Another collection of pictures

The Royal Institute of British Architects has an interesting collection of pictures. A few of Coventry I've not seen before. (Unfortunately, there are quite prominent watermarks). The search facility seems quite good

Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

It was where Boots was later constructed at the entrance to Smithford Way. The site was used as an open air market between 1953 and 1958. For a brief period after the construction of Smithford Way towards the end of the market's life it was possible to cut through from Smithford Way to the Rex Market.

Ultra rare picture of Corporation Street taken from Well Street showing the entrance to the Rex Market (left of centre) and surviving buildings from the Rex complex including Barnby's original toy shop (extreme right) before it moved to Smithford Way.
