some great pictures there! i worked on the building of the new pingles swimming baths a few years ago and saw the old building pulled down over the course of a few weeks. was a sad thing to watch, im not that old (37) but have fond memories of swimming there as a child and adult, the pingles kids disco's in the 80's, having a springboard and 2 diving boards, sneaking in and getting free swimming, being banned from swimming lessons whilst at the nearby park avenue first school for pulling a moony out of the changing room windows aged 6 :oops!: me and my brother also used to scale the wall at the rugby club just across the wembrook on sundays to help decrease the boredom on sunday afternoons......
