This is much later than 1948, possibly 1953. For one thing Broadgate House has been completed, also the Bridge Restaurant and the subway under Hertford Street.

Broadgate 1949. No Broadgate House, no Bridge Restaurant and no subway entrance:

They were still building the subway entrance in 1953 and the Leofric hadn't yet been built so it was not possible to take a picture from the roof of it. The Bridge Restaurant had been built but was not yet open.

I am so pleased to see the the tall slim triangle like building on the left corner of High Street that was still there in the mid to late 70s may be up till the 80s but the block building next to it was nt as many other forum members on another forum claimed this was never there.
