Generations enjoyed cakes and bread at a Nuneaton bakery which could soon be re-opened.

For decades Round Towers Bakery served everyone from families to school children with its freshly baked goods in Arbury Road.

Now the building which famously has a Hovis sign in gold lettering on the front and was once known as Bucklers, is on the market.

According to Holt Commercial, the building is up for rent at £16,000 a year.

“The commercial element of the property consists of a retail shop and stores fronting Arbury Road with large commercial style kitchen to its rear and which has historically been known as the Round Towers Bakery,” the firm's website states.

“Additionally there is substantial storage and warehousing to the buildings rear along with in built offices.

"Externally there is a considerable open storage area to the back of the property.”

It goes on to add that the building has had some renovation and is suitable for a variety of occupiers.
