Mystery photo from 1962...

Joyce Parker as Lady Godiva in the carnival procession of 1962 but where was it taken?

There are a couple of big clues in the photo:
Although radically altered and now knocked into one, the two shops are still in use as an off-license.
The shop on the right bears the original name of a cinema opposite which was changed to something else long before the photo was taken.

Opposite the Astoria (formerly The Broadway) Cinema

Up to date picture of the shop. Has been closed for over a year or so. Wonder what it will be when the renovation / refurbishment work is completed?

I suspect yet another café/bar as if Earlsdon doesn't have enough already?
