Jardine Cycles is closing
A much loved and long running cycle shop said to be the oldest in Coventry is closing. Jardine Cycles has served the city for over four decades.
But management have shared they plan to close the business due to several issues. They thanked customers old and new, revealing there is a closing down sale happening from today (2 March).
"It is with great sadness that due to landlord, industry and on-going health issues I have decided to close the shop after 40 years of trading," a Facebook post from Jardine Cycles states. "I am extremely proud of what we as a family, mum Joyce, dad Alan, brother Paul, wife Fiona and myself have achieved during this time.
"I would like to thank all our customers, past and present for your support over the years. We wouldn’t have made it this long without you and hope we have put smiles on lots of faces.
"I personally wish to thank Conrad, my wingman, who has worked beside me from when I took over the business from my brother 11 years ago. He too, is looking forward to new adventures and I wish him every success for the future.
"The workshop will remain open until Saturday 23 May 2026 for repairs and servicing, so feel free to book your bike in.
"The closing down sale has now started, so please come along and grab yourself a bargain. The shop will close on Saturday 30 May 2026."
