'Our Warwickshire' will be at the Chilvers Coton Spring Festival on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and is calling on residents to bring their old photographs and stories to add to the exhibition.

Together with Nuneaton Memories, the project is asking people to go along to the heritage centre and share what they remember of living in the area and the changes they have seen in a bid to bring the past to life.

Warwickshire County Council Museum Service is also reaching out to the whole county and will be present during the day to hear stories, collect information and talk about the website it is developing 'Our Warwickshire', which will rely on material supplied by residents in the county.

Benjamin Earl, Our Warwickshire editor, said: "The Our Warwickshire website is all about capturing the memories and stories of the community.

"These recollections are of vital importance in building a picture of the county and the Nuneaton area in particular."

Old photographs will be scanned and added to the event, bringing these memories back for everyone to see.

This year Chilvers Coton Heritage Centre and Craft Centre will entertain and interest the public as well as showcasing both venues.

The theme for this year is twinning, since it is 60 years since the twinning scheme with Roanne was set up.

The heritage centre will have a display of pictures and memorabilia from the 60 years of exchanges and the craft centre will have a French theme in some of the units.

There will be visits during the morning from Marcus Jones MP and from the Mayor, Cllr Barry Longden and his wife and the leader of the council Dennis Harvey, who is a keen supporter of the exchange scheme.

People are being invited to go along and find out more about the Heritage Lottery Funded project on the day.
