The Victorian Evening in Warwick put everyone in the Christmas spirit as thousands turned out to see the light switch-on.

A traditional steam-powered carousel, street magicians, market and streetfood filled the streets as carol singers and local bands took to the stage in the Market Place.

St Mary's Church provided the starting place for a lantern procession through the town before Father Christmas and Mayor Bob Dhillon turned the lights on last Thursday (November 27).

The Market Square was it usual hub of activity as crowds gathered to ride on one of the few working steam powered carousels still in existence.
