Mr Kipling deep-filled mince pies reduced to clear at 9p a box at Morrisons. It makes the 75p I paid just after Xmas seem like robbery.

I managed to time everything just right as well, although more by good luck than good judgement.

The Mr Kipling mince pies were disgusting, far too sugary. Kids might like them but I didn't.

Christmas Cards!

You buy one for everyone you know then notice at the last minute the wording on some of them is all wrong so have to rush out and buy replacements. You go to put the left over cards away in the box with the decorations then discover you've got a load of cards left over from when you did the same thing last year and the year before that and the years before that!

Simple solution just use free ecards like I mainly do and a lot of others do now if I dont know their address especially I find 123 greetings.com free ecards the best you can choose any and place your own words in you dont have to pay for cards nor postage all you need is their email address. Just think no cards littering the house no having to pick them up for dusting if people dont string them up on the wall no jealousy if a relative or a friend has sent you one better than the other relative or friend its for your eyes only.

To much wrapping paper that gets left over on a roll for just a few presents.

Last year I bought a pack of deep roasting tins to cook a joint or something and haven't used any of them since!
