Interesting Polly :thumbsup: The battle was fought during the summer so the fur coat was originally to protect the pilot from frostbite at high altitude.

Thanks for that Dutchy - I didn't know that.

It's been snowing non-stop for the last 12 hrs. and we're virtually at a standstill now. It was bad before, but with another 12 inches on top of what we already had is making life very difficult as you can imagine. The dreaded operation stack is back on :thumbsdown:

It means the M20 coastbound is a huge lorry park Dutchy - they closed it some time last night - the police have advised lorry drivers NOT to come to Kent unless it's absolutely necessary :clown:

Happy to report the snow is all gone, operation stack is no longer and things are back to normal - for now :applause:
