Clampdown on credit card usage?

Postby dutchman » Sat Nov 16, 2024 1:03 am

Had a letter from my credit card issuer this morning informing me they no longer allow transactions with betting companies or digital currencies, not that I do now. The ban also includes transactions with betting companies for non-betting activities such as ordering a meal in a casino restaurant.

What surprised me is that they also now ban front-loading of credit cards, something mrs dutchman is very fond of doing before going on holiday (she's very good with money).

Mainstream card, Dutchman?
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

I'll have to keep an eye on this. I use Barclaycard/Visa and Capital One/Visa.

Thanks for the tip-off
