St George's Road Surgery?

Postby dutchman » Mon Sep 23, 2024 5:23 am

Had a bizarre letter through the post asking me "as a local resident" to register as a patient with St George's Road Surgery in Stoke.

Why on earth would I? To begin with I live in Spon End and am already registered with Priory Gate Surgery in Stoney Stanton Road. I know nothing at all about St George's Road Surgery, good or bad and can't think of any reason why I would want to register with someone on the other side of town.

It gets weirder. Having little idea of where the surgery is I looked it up on Google maps only to be told it had been 'Recently viewed'. I've never viewed it before in my life and no one else has access to this PC.

Am totally baffled?

Strange.

Worth dropping them an email?
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

I'd rather not supply them with a name and email address to add to the postal address they already have.

My guess is someone else recently accessed their website and either used my address or geolocation.

If I was to reregister it would be with Holyhead Road surgery which is much closer. There also used to be surgeries in Albany Road and Mount Street but one became an accountants office and the other a nursery. The latter previously specialised in the problems of older patients but we apparently no longer matter?
